Individual Differences Research (IDR) is an open-access journal dedicated to ensuring that scientific knowledge is freely accessible to the widest possible audience. Consistent with this mission, all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided the original work is properly cited.

IDR is a signing organization of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and fully endorses its vision that “removing barriers to research literature will accelerate research, enrich education, and share knowledge across the globe for the benefit of humanity.”

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Open access publishing allows immediate, worldwide, barrier-free access to the full text of scientific work, which is in the best interests of the research community and the larger public.
