Psychology Research Journal

Psychology Research Journal (PRJ) announces a general call for papers covering all areas of scientific psychology. We welcome empirical research reports using quantitative, qualitative, and descriptive methods, including experimental and correlational studies. Full-length reports as well as brief reports, preliminary studies, replications, specialized or niche research, and non-findings are encouraged.

PRJ takes a broad view of worthwhile psychological research. Studies need not be large, complex, or produce statistically significant findings to make a contribution. Straightforward research addressing a clearly defined question with appropriate methods is welcome, as is scientifically grounded work examining novel or unconventional ideas.

Manuscripts should typically be no more than 30 double-spaced pages, including text, references, tables, figures, and other supporting materials (excluding the title page and abstract). This is a maximum rather than an expected length; substantially briefer reports are encouraged when additional length would not meaningfully improve the presentation of the research.

Although PRJ primarily publishes reports of empirical research, literature reviews and syntheses grounded in empirical findings and theoretical papers, particularly those offering theoretical revisions or new perspectives, will also be considered.

All submissions are peer-reviewed. Papers should be scholarly in nature, adequately document their methods and reasoning, and provide sufficient information for evaluation and, where applicable, replication. Review emphasizes methodological appropriateness, adequate reporting, and conclusions supported by the evidence rather than methodological complexity, statistical significance, or conformity with prevailing theoretical positions.
