Abstract: The authors examined job satisfaction and one worker's perceptions of a nonprofessional occupation using the Position Classification Inventory (PCI; Gottfredson & Holland, 1991). Results revealed a high job satisfaction score and suggests that the PCI shows promise as a method of classifying a working-class occupation according to Holland's (1985, 1997) theory.
