Psychology Research Journal

Manuscripts should typically be no more than 30 double-spaced pages, including text, references, tables, figures, and other supporting materials (excluding the title page and abstract). This is a maximum rather than an expected length; substantially briefer reports are encouraged when they adequately communicate the research. Authors wishing to submit a substantially longer manuscript should contact the editor before submission.

Manuscripts should be double-spaced with one-inch margins and use 12-point Times New Roman font. Abstracts should not exceed 150 words and should be followed by 4–7 keywords for indexing. Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English.

Manuscripts should generally follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th ed.) and current APA Style guidelines.

As modifications of APA style, PRJ uses sequentially numbered sections and subsections and does not require italics for statistical symbols or journal titles. For example:

Otherwise, manuscripts should generally follow APA 7th edition style.

Tables and figures should be clearly labeled, referenced in the text, and presented in an editable format (i.e., using your word processor's table creator and each entry having its own cell). 

Authors are encouraged to have their manuscript read by a colleague before submission. Submission indicates the authors' intention to publish the manuscript in PRJ if it is accepted. Accepted manuscripts are subject to reasonable editorial modification during preparation for publication.
