JIS is a fully open-access journal. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License and are freely available immediately upon publication. Articles are published on a rolling basis shortly after acceptance.

JIS welcomes submissions from established scholars, early-career researchers, and research teams worldwide. We particularly encourage contributions that promote the dissemination of evidence-based research across geographical and disciplinary boundaries.
