Individual Differences Research

From Self-Report to Process: Criterion-Based Approaches to Individual Differences

William Kelly

Abstract

This editorial introduces a volume featuring three studies that employ comparative and experimental methods that demonstrate individual differences research can involve more than correlations of self-report measures. Collectively, these studies illuminate the dynamic interplay between inward reflection of psychological experience and a criterion-oriented view of individual differences with implications for forgiveness, perceptual framing, and creativity.
